New Internal Shuttle Bus Timetable During Exam Period

Dear fellow students,

We are pleased to inform you that we will be altering the internal shuttle bus timetable for your convenience during the exam period. The frequency of shuttle buses will be increased for certain peak hours.

The new timetable will be in effect from 17th November (the first day of exam period) to 8th December (the last day of exam period).

Exam Welfare Package for Semester 1 AY09/10

Dear fellow students,

We, 19th NTU Students' Union, are pleased to present Exam Welfare Package for Semester 1 Academic Year 2009-2010.
This Exam Welfare package itself consist of two parts:
i) Extension hours of some NTU facilities (canteens, reading rooms and libraries)
ii) U- Study Campaign (exam welfare goodies distribution) that'll be held on 28th October 2009.

A short film by students of NTU’s School of Art, Design and Media (ADM) was selected and screened at the opening of the 19th European Union Film Festival on 7 May 2009 at the Golden Village, VivoCity. The Guest-of-Honour was RAdm Lui Tuck Yew, Acting Minister for Information, Communications & the Arts.

The film, “Sacred Cranes Mortal Birds”, screened before the main feature film ‘Wolf” (from Sweden) was the creative work of Boo Xinying, Kenny Tan and Joseph Peng from ADM.

Student News: Student-built solar-powered sensation

Dear fellow students,

The Nanyang Venture I, an eco-friendly car designed and built by a team of 25 students from NTU's School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (MAE) and School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE), wowed many at the Shell Eco-marathon Europe 2009 held in Germany, from 7 to 9 May 2009. The NTU eco-car turned in the best results of the Singapore entries on the first day of the two-day race on 8 May 2009. At the end of the final day, according to the results posted on the Shell Eco-Marathon 2009 website this morning, NTU's was the only car flying the Singapore flag high, coming in 4th in the Prototype (Solar) Category (out of 8 in that category), and clinching second place of the 'Safety Award' in the 'Special Awards' category.‬‪ ‬‪
