Have you ever thought you could be the next big entrepreneur… if only you had the money? U-Feastival is NTU’s next big thing for budding entrepreneurs. With just $20, you can run your own business with minimum risks and cost.

With almost 20 student vendors in the student-led bazaar, U-Feastival aimed to both empower student vendors and to bring to the students a great array of goods. The student vendorscould establish hands-on experience in entrepreneurship, be it booth management or customer service. One vendor not to be forgotten was a for-hire photography service run by students at an extremely reasonable rate – who better to share your best moments in NTU with than your fellow NTU students?

The second objective of the U-Feastival was to provide students with more affordable alternatives while supporting student-run businesses. With both NTU and NIE undergraduates selling a wide variety of products from accessories to apparel, popular booths included one selling Pokemon plush toys, giving out freebies with every purchase.

Besides providing a platform to nurture the enterprising spirit of NTU students, U-Feastival was also a celebration of the diverse cultures within the school. Showcasing over 10 arresting performances by the different clubs and societies in NTU, cultural performances ranged from acapella and dance productions by PINTU (Pelajar Indonesia NTU), to captivating dance choreography by the Korean Cultural Societies, belting their hearts out to pop songs such as ‘Dear Future Husband,in addition to the broadway classic ‘Seasons of Love’.

A feast for the eyes and stomach, U-Feastival also saw traditional food giveaways, with savoury snacks such as the murtabak and laddu, as well as soft, crumbly pastries such as semolina cakes and polvorón. With exotic foods for the adventurous foodie, adorable and affordable plushies for the superfan and glamorous photo booths for the photogenic – U-Feastival made sure there was something for everyone.
